Put the Needle on the Record

Last week, the City Paper ran a feature on The Song that represents D.C. the most. They asked 40 local musicians, singers, DJs, scenesters what they thought.

Marvin Gaye had two nods and gogo wasn't ignored, which made the whole mess legit as far as I was concerned (Brother Marvin only needed one as far as my legitimacy litmus goes).

Three I was looking for: "Lock It" and "Work the Walls" by RE, and "Be Thankful For What You Got" by William DeVaughn.

Yer a bunch of music geeks. Who's missing?
