Two Mistakes, One Day
The first one was my first mistake as a manager, a decision clouded by friendship. I tried to do a favor for a friend that happened to benefit another friend. And I screwed myself by being unreasonably generous.
Maybe I didn't screw myself, but it was a mistake. And my über-boss called me on it. So now I get to stew over it all weekend before I have to correct it on Monday.
I asked for some guidance, but the preference seems to be sink-or-swim.
I suppose I should have used my foreign market haggling and domestic poker knowledge for my benefit for a change.
The second mistake involved a 1:45 a.m. falafel sandwich. It was either the gardiniere or the green stuff, not sure exactly. But it was definitely a mistake.
