Getting away from it all
I know many of you, like myself, try to follow the beautiful game when we can, but I came upon something tonight that has me baffled.
Why on earth would a talented young man from Jamaica want to spend his time here?
I understand when over-the-hill superstars sign up for big money contracts in Qatar, but this is a guy in his prime who would qualify for a work permit in England. Surely a second division club is better than some back woods former Soviet republic.

I was thinking maybe he'd just rented White Nights and decided that he could be the Gregory Hines of soccer.

Hells, a raise just tied to inflation costs in Russian is probably pretty good. And he's only gotta live there for like 9 or 10 months a year.
