Awake? How?
10 after 10 or so. Just walked in the door. Would have been home sooner, but I stopped in the McDonalds on M, partly because it was time to eat, but mostly cause I had to shit like an I don't know what.
Someone was in the crapper, so I ordered some food for me and the guy out front who asked me to help him out. And a bathroom token.
I never got to use the token, as when I tried the crapper was still occupado, and I was in a good enough condition to walk the rest of the way home.
I had to stop and clench a few times before I made it in the front door and booked into the basement, where there is a john in the laundry room. (It's far quicker than the safety of my on john, but I end having to make that run downstairs more often than I care to.)
Anyway, I am barely awake. Last night was our memorial to The Good Doctor. Mostly The Schmoo and The Hernan, but the B2 and the Little E sent their wishes, and Selma, colin and Jerko participated, all in their own way.
Began the way it should have, with a trip to the ABC liquor store what had you ordering and buying through the holes in the entryway walls because of some larcenous activity. And a reading of the best intro to a novel since Edward George Bulwer-Lytton.
Much Chivas, beer and Turkey. And a firearm of sorts. A pellet gun, really.
But we shot it. A lot.
Welts on necks, welts on feets, welts on tummies, welts are funny.
So I left around 7:30, maybe 8. I don't rightly remember. I finished The Movie and was physically incapable of closing my eyes. so I copied some words onto paper and left them where I hoped Schmoo and Hernan would appreciate finding them (including the paper in the book on the couch, gents. Figured JB would enjoy the Phil Graham letters. Yes, that one.)
I left, and walked up the path to National Airport. It took longer than I expected, but was a slightly shorter walk than I expected.
Here are the rambling thoughts that popped into my head, no particular order other than the one in which I remember them:
Joggers are much more polite in the morning than cyclists.
Wish I ran. Wish I enjoyed running, and wish I could do it. But I really hate running.
Words were said
Genius was read
Tears were shed
Friends rule, especially good ones. Especially when you can tell them how important they are to you when you don't need to.
I said shit I shouldn't have said, even though I should have said that shit.
Left the cutest spandex-clad butt back at the Manor.
Bashford. Like Smash a Chevy?
I'm glad we used that book in an appropriate fashion.

I probably smell. I will probably be arrested as soon as I walk onto airport property. I better not breathe out that much, and hide the sticker on the bottle of water.
Un-iced Turkey...not so good.
I like you....
Ligers and Tigons, oh my!
Did we decide to go to Vegas last night? Rather, did we decide last night to go to Vegas? Someone should tell the Bricks.

I said shit I probalby shouldn't have.
I probably smell and look a fright and fathers will hide their children from me when I finally make onto the train.
Boobies. (I thought this a lot.)

You know, the show wasn't bad. A bit of Skynyrd and a bit of Primus. Not much in the way of a stage show, but much better than the last time I saw em

Yeah, it was decided to go to Vegas again and I was recruited to come along. My ticket is also paid for, from what I recall.

i ended up sitting next to caleb from kings of leon on a connecting flight out of nashville this fall. while we were chatting, he mentioned that he (and some of the other band members) dropped out of high school to have more time for the band. i asked him if he felt he was missing out on the whole college "experience." but he said no, he got to party plenty with his friends...
