Help me with my inconsistency

I'm offended if I cook for someone and they salt the food without tasting it first, but whenever I eat eggs, first thing I do is dump hot sauce on 'em before I take the first bite.

Why is the salting different than the saucing?

Offended? You should be proud! An excessive intake of salt leads to many diseases like hypertension, gastric cancer and osteoporosis. I myself do not wish these diseases on others (well, maybe some). However, the next time someone adds a sprinkle of salt before tasting your divine dish, you may suggest that he / she consider the risks associated with table salt. On the other hand, you may suggest (with a pleasant smile) that he / she pile an extra tablespoon or two on to liven the taste...and the disease thing could be your own secret additive.

Plus, hot sauce leads to impotence.
