Valentine's Day vs. the NFL
"Super" sunday? What the hell? Now, I'm not much of a sports fan in the sense that I don't have the attention span to follow any particular team, but I like to watch hockey, soccer, and the occasional important baseball game. I don't go around quoting statistics or factoids about stadia, players, teams, etc, because I don't find it important, not do I actually know any. So my curiosity here is irrelavent and will be written off as, "You'd know if you watched," but what exactly is it about the Super Bowl that brings this country to a standstill every year? The game is no more exciting than any other during the season and it's not like the players work harder to make it there as the NFL has the shortest season of any professional sports league in the US. I wonder if Hallmark is going to come out with Super Sunday cards anytime soon.
